Journalists
and Human Rights
The Journalist and Human Right Campaign is currently the main
focus of SODAPOJ’s work. This campaign targets the roots of
Journalist's right. It seeks to address the structural injustices
that gave rise to and now perpetuate the abuses against
Journalists.
SODAPOJ is mobilizing support across the Journalists to achieve
the Two goals of the Journalist’s Right:
¨
Implementation of the
Human Right right education and promotion project, which is
supported by Members of SODAPOJ and some of the Somali
Businessmen.
¨
Active participation of
SODAPOJ in the project on Elimination of Violence Against
journalists (yearly campaigns, counselling and visiting to
influential personalities to solicit their intervention to condemn
violence against Journalists and take steps to contribute to its
elimination.)
